Parents of SD81 Come Out for “Bring Your Parents to School Day”!

Last year Governor Quinn signed a bill designating the first Monday of October  “Bring Your Parents to School Day,” giving school districts across Illinois the option to open their doors to parents during the regular school day.  The SD81 Board of Education adopted the policy in support of this bill, and I am happy to share that many parents in SD81 were able to spend some time with us in the classrooms.  I’m proud that we offer so many opportunities throughout the school year to get our parents involved, and “Bring Your Parents to School Day” connects with our Board of Education’s goal of Parental Involvement.

We can all look forward to another opportunity for parents to visit our schools in November during American Education Week!
