Inspiring Examples of Excellence

Writing my Superintendent’s blog gives me the opportunity to share moments that many of you may not be able to experience. I wish every single member of our school community could have been at this week’s Board of Education meeting to see the Examples of Excellence. I am sharing the two videos that were presented so you can share in the experience of feeling as inspired and uplifted as I did.

The first video features a star runner from our SLC/SLBC program, his success in the Cross Country program, and the friends who kept him going!  I am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. His coaches and his family have been right alongside him on his journey, and they are simply glowing with pride!

The second video is one that is also dear to my heart. It features our building principals and assistant principals. I put this video together as a tribute to them. I couldn’t ask for a more dedicated team, whose care for the students in SD81 is overwhelmingly evident.
