SD81 Welcomes Our Students to School!

Welcome to the 2014-15 School Year! I’m happy to share that our students were all smiles and already looked right at home in their classrooms. The first full day of school is always a special time for not only our students, but their teachers too. I can’t help reminiscing about my teaching days in SD81 after spending time in each of our schools. There is so much to give each one of these children, and I know our teachers want to make every moment with their students count!

Today I saw that the halls and classrooms are decorated with welcoming and encouraging messages that inspire a love for learning, being a good friend, and building a strong character. Students were diving right into their work today with creative lessons that got them talking to one another and experience joy in learning! They were so excited to learn and be here!

I hope that each of your children share with you many good experiences from their first day of school. I know I had a great time welcoming them back.
