Earth Day Celebration in Schiller Park!

After such a long winter it felt great to enjoy some sunshine and celebrate Earth Day with the Brownies and Boy Scouts from School District 81 and Saint Maria Goretti School. A special thank you to the Centennial Committee for planning the event and including the District 81 students! Mayor Piltaver attended the event to help celebrate, and the Schiller Park Fire Department buried the time capsule painted by Washington School’s fourth and fifth grade students. The time capsule held District 81 yearbooks from all three schools, as well as a menu from Hubcaps! It was a great event, and I’m happy to see this wonderful community come together for Earth Day!
