Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!

Last night I had the pleasure of attending the Dr. Seuss Birthday Celebration held at Kennedy School. The event is always filled with happiness and joy for both adults and children alike.

It was moving to see the number of former District 81 students return to Kennedy School last night. As one attendee said, “You’re never too old for Dr. Seuss Night.”

I am filled with great pride to know that District 81 has the opportunity to partake in such a memorable event that has become one of the most anticipated traditions in the community. Mayor of Schiller Park, Barbara Piltaver,  along with several village trustees, Board of Education members, and  the dedicated fire and police departments all volunteered their time for us. The community came together last night to create a memory for a child that they will always cherish.

It is an honor and privilege to participate and support Dr. Seuss Night as a teacher, a principal and now the Superintendent of Schiller Park School District 81.

The event is a true example of collaboration and excellence, and I offer my sincere gratitude to all who participated.
