Safe Schools Initiative Up and Running In District 81

School District 81 and the Schiller Park Police Department have been collaborating together on  implementing the Safe School Initiative across the District.  As you know from reading the letter from Chief Brzezniak that was sent home with your student, as well as posted on the District website, the program is designed to increase safety and protect children in and around our schools.

The no tolerance policy for violations including phone usage, texting while driving, speeding, passing a loading or unloading school bus, and seat belt violations is in effect, and citations will be given.  The cooperation and care that you have demonstrated to create a safe environment for our school children is much appreciated.

The increased police presence around our schools has been noted and appreciated by our school community. We thank Chief Brzezniak and the department for deploying their services and taking such great care to ensure that our children and schools are safe.
