I am often amazed at the creativity of our teachers. While visiting the SLC/SLBC at Lincoln, I saw how Art teacher Mrs. Razo brings art alive for our students in such an innovative and playful way. Mrs. Razo has gotten to know her students well this past year, and learned they especially love sensory activities. Painting with cooked spaghetti was no exception! The children pictured below created beautiful abstract art, using bright and vibrant colors. Mrs. Razo refers to these students as “Masters of Abstract Art.” She collaborates with the Art teachers at both Kennedy and Washington to bring new adaptive art projects to her program and to share ideas.
I know that creative and engaging experiences are happening every minute in our schools, and my hat is off to our faculty and staff for making learning so much fun for our students!
