Happy 2013 may the New Year bring peace, love and happiness to the District 81 community!
The return of students, teachers and staff last week was seamless. The students were excited to be back in their classrooms and the teachers were eager to facilitate meaningful instruction. I thoroughly enjoy spending time in our schools. Observing students learning and teachers facilitating meaningful instruction in a supportive and dynamic setting is a true source of pride of me. As I visited our schools last week positive energy filled the classrooms and hallways. I ended the week feeling fortunate and blessed to be a member of such a dedicated and passionate professional learning community. I offer my sincere appreciation to each member of the District 81 community for the courage and persistence they commit to making decisions in the best interest of our students.
