Our students and their families had quite a week of holiday celebrations before their winter break began. The annual Parents as Teachers and Preschool Tree Decorating event was a great success. The party kicked off with our preschoolers singing holiday songs for us. Our youngest students in the district joined their siblings, parents, and grandparents in making beautiful ornaments for the trees at Kennedy School. Of course there were plenty of treats and snacks for everyone to enjoy.
Kennedy School had a very important visitor this past week. Santa Claus brought a special treat for each of our students. He was so generous and kind, spending time in the classrooms and spreading holiday cheer around the school.
Students in the SLC/SLBC at Lincoln Middle School were excited about their holiday activities too. They sang songs, made crafts, and enjoyed a pizza lunch together. Our students and their dedicated teachers, paraprofessionals, and have really created a home away from home in the SLC/SLBC!
I wish each of our District 81 families my warmest wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season with your loved ones and a new year filled with joy.
