It was difficult for me to tell who had more fun dressing up today – the students or the adults in District 81! I was amazed at the creativity and spirit at our schools, and it was such a pleasure to see little siblings in costume at Kennedy School along with so many family members who came to the parade.
Washington students enjoyed fabulous entertainment performed by the faculty and staff. The faculty and staff staged a costume competition that included team skits. The students thoroughly enjoyed cheering on their teachers. The fourth and fifth graders will vote for their favorite act/costume tomorrow!
While Kennedy and Washington celebrated Halloween with parades and parties, Lincoln students took a field trip to see the movie FrankenWeenie. I was pleased to see so many middle school students dressed in costume as they boarded the bus to the Muvico theater.
These are the moments that our children will remember for a lifetime, and I am so grateful to everyone who helped create these memories for our students!
