A Successful First Week in District 81

It is hard to believe we have completed the first full week of the 2012-2013 school year! It has a been a busy and exciting week in District 81. I am inspired by the enthusiasm of both staff and students. It was clear everyone was thrilled to be back in the routine of teaching and learning. 

While visiting the schools during arrival this week, I was approached by a substitute teacher who wanted me to know how very much she LOVES subbing in District 81. She continued to tell me how great all three of our schools are and how impressed she is by the positive energy in our buildings. I thanked her for the kind words and responded, “District 81 is filled with the BEST students and staff a school district can hope for!”

I am blessed to work alongside colleagues and board members who put students at the forefront of their decision making while always maintaining high levels of integrity, and fiscal responsibility to the taxpayers of this community.

I look forward to our continued partnership and I am excited to share our students’ experiences with you throughout the 2012-2013 school year.
