Halloween was a memorable day for the students of Schiller Park District 81! I visited both Kennedy and Washington School during their parade and party festivities. It was an absolute delight to see both the students and their teachers in costume.
The staff at Washington school participated in a costume contest, each team dressed in a particular theme and the students had the opportunity to vote for their favorite team. The students decided the fifth grade team deserved the award for best costume for their impressive rendition of Alice in Wonderland.
The students at all three schools had a a very special visitor this year, “Barney” visited all the students and he was a BIG hit with students of all ages.
I am blessed to work in this community. It was an absolute pleasure to observe true happiness and joy on the faces of both the students and staff throughout the day. Please be sure and visit my gallery as I have uploaded many pictures that feature Halloween in Schiller Park District 81.
