Kennedy School Artists

The students at Kennedy School have been busy studying Keith Haring in art class. Mr. Haring developed a love of drawing at a very early age learning from Dr.Seuss and Walt Disney.

As part of the unit of study Ms. Dougal created a beautiful mural outside the Art Studio to give the children an opportunity to see the artistic concepts of Keith Haring’s work come to life in their school.

Many of our Kennedy Kubbies offered their talents to helping create a beautiful mural alongside Ms. Dougal and I am inspired by everyone’s efforts. The children created lasting memories as they worked along side their art teacher to create this amazing masterpiece. As a result of Ms. Dougal’s vision and creativity, District 81 families and staff will enjoy this mural for many years to come!
