Lincoln Middle School Students Remember

A special group of students, The Lincoln Leaders, prepared a memorable 9/11 tribute for their fellow classmates and teachers today. Lincoln Leaders are a special group of students who want to be part of making Lincoln Middle School not just a great place to learn, but a place to make life long memories.  They want to make their school community and Schiller Park community a better place and help those who need it through various activities. I was honored to attend the event. Also in attendance were several veterans from both the Schiller Park and Franklin Park posts, as well as members of both the Schiller Park Police and Fire Departments. The Lincoln Choir sang the National Anthem. Upon completion of the assembly, the students joined their principal and assistant principal in the placement of American Flags lining the front of the school building. The entire student body at Lincoln Middle School was respectful and highly engaged during the event. I could not have been more proud of the Lincoln Leaders today.
